The October Cybersecurity Awareness Month of 2024 is an initiative of the Department of ICT in collaboration with the National Information and Communications Technology Authority (NICTA) and the National Cybersecurity Center of Papua New Guinea (NCSC). The campaign seeks to raise awareness about the vital importance of cybersecurity in an increasingly digital Papua New Guinea.
The campaign establishes the role of cybersecurity in safeguarding digital spaces, as the country joins the global community in recognizing Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
This year’s theme, “Secure Our World,” encourages all citizens, businesses, and institutions to take proactive steps in securing their digital environments and protecting sensitive information.
