Papua New Guinea’s Department for Community Development and Religion officially unveiled its new logo and launched the Corporate Plan (2023-2027) under the theme: “Going Rural.”
DCDR Secretary Mr. Jerry Ubase said the rebranding efforts aim to better resemble the various functions of the department and it fits within the organizational restructuring that the department is now going through.
In order to accomplish the goals outlined in the business plan, Mr Ubase further stressed the value of teamwork and recommended sustained cooperation.
In his remarks, Minister for Youth, Religion and Community Development, Hon. Jason Peter, emphasized the government’s commitment to improving rural areas.
Mr Peter thanked the Marape-Rosso administration and stressed the vital role that rural development plays in the general advancement of the country.
He also praised the department’s dedication to this cause.
The event witnessed a gathering of Ministerial Agency Heads, representatives from various departments, development partners, representatives of state entities, and the dedicated staff of the Department.
Mr Ubase however said, the department is ready to use its Integrated Community Development Model to have a long-lasting effect on people’s lives in distant villages as a result of the successful launch.
