The recently concluded two-day Consultation Workshop organized by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in Kokopo for the New Guinea Islands (NGI) Region, successfully ended with the Governor Hon. Michael Marum officially launching the ENB Provincial ICT Action Plan.
The momentous event took place at the Gazelle International Hotel on Thursday, July 21,2023.
The event was witnessed by ENB provincial government officials and participants from the NGI surrounding provinces..
This comprehensive plan aligns with the Digital Transformation Policy and the Digital Government Act 2022.
The primary goal of the Action Plan is to establish a dedicated ICT unit within the provincial administration, laying the groundwork for a robust online presence.
One of the plan’s crucial components includes the development of an official website for the province, along with an active presence on various social media platforms.
This strategic move is aimed at improving communication and service delivery to the people of East New Britain.
Governor Michael Marum commended DICT for their effective work at the sub-national level.
